Why “Nagykun rice”?
Our rice has always belonged to the premium category, both in terms of cooking qualities and quality characteristics.
While the high heavy metal content (arsenic, cadmium) is a major problem in rice cultivation worldwide today, the fact that Nagykun Bio Rice is also found in Western European and Chinese premium baby food – thanks to its heavy metal content significantly below the health limit values -, speaks for itself.
The quality and traditions of Nagykun rice are also well illustrated by the fact that in 2021 “Nagykun rice” was included in the registry of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications (PGI) of the European Union.
The corporate group’s own state-of-the-art husking plant processes the 3,500–4,500 tons of premium Nagykun rice produced annually.
